Joseph Kanundu has a background in Environmental management and studies. He represents an accomplished community member with experience of over 7 years in Forest protection, wildlife research and community resource facilitation with leading Friends of Arabuko-Sokoke Forest team of 24 community scouts in daily forest protection.

Hamude is a result oriented, proactive and tenacious accounting and finance professional with 15 years experience in compiling and analysing financial information. She is dedicated to building financial knowledge at all levels in the organisation to ensure financial sustainability.
Communications and Development officer

Elijah Mureithi is a dedicated environmental communicator focused on sustainability, community engagement, and awareness campaigns. At Friends of Arabuko-Sokoke Forest, he leads communications, fundraising, and social media. He’s passionate about tree planting, clean water access, and using cycling to inspire conservation.

Lydia is has a background in Environmental Education and brings over five years of experience to her role. Her expertise includes developing learning materials for school children and various community groups, preparing and delivering environmental education lessons, and organizing training workshops and activities for diverse audiences.
Assistant Education Officer

Faith holds a background in Wildlife Management and a certified Human-Elephant conflict mitigation trainer. She has 3 years experience in environmental conservation awareness creation in primary schools and campaigns for the adoption of Human-Elephant Conflict mitigation strategies in the surrounding community.
Community Liaison Officer

Certified Human Elephant Mitigation Trainer, Sifa is trained in Wildlife Management and leads many of our wildlife monitoring projects such as the Sokoke Scops Owl Recovery Plan, our indigenous seed collectors, and farmer trainings and seedling distribution.
